Therapy to treat phobias
A phobia can seem odd or funny to other people, but the reality of a phobia is very distressing. You might find yourself avoiding situations that could trigger your fear, and it can have a severe impact on your quality of life.
Phobias are a panic response to something you unconsciously perceive as dangerous, even though consciously – rationally – you know the fear isn’t needed.
Changing your perceptions to remove the fear
My approach works by addressing the part of your mind that still sees the thing as a threat. I guide you into a relaxed state, and using visualisation exercises and verbal cues I help you alter the way you perceive the object of your phobia at an unconscious level.
